Straight from the Nest chicks

Following through with my challenge of working through my cartridges, one by one, and making two cards or layouts from each, here is my latest Straight from the Nest. I must admit that I did get inspired by a card on the Cricut Message board, but have added my own twist.

Straight from the nest card

Supposed to be a really elaborate Mother's Day card but just wouldn't work. So I decided to cut my losses and make a relatively simple birthday card. Bird and branch are both cut using Straight from the Nest

Friends wall plaque

Did this plaque for Beth's friend Karen. The picture was taken in the Summer of 2010 at Colemere, in Ellesmere. I used Tim Holtz paper for the background which I distressed and spritzed. The flowers were cut out of grunge paper and patterned paper, then grunged and mounted. Typeface for Friends is Ashlyns Alphabet.

Great Impressions Paw Prints

This is my remake of the Pets leave Pawprints on your heart artboard from Great Impressions. Tried to do some different fresh colours with unusual designs. One of my favourite GI artboards

Owl card

Playing around with lots of matting and layering. The owl and branch are Woodware stamps and the paper is My Minds Eye.

Butterfly card

Its been an age since I've posted anything due to family stuff. Still, got my mojo back and am starting to get back into crafting. The Butterfly card is my latest offering. I have done it in a variety of colours, but pink is always my favourite. The outer card is from Wild Card and the inner circle is Basic Grey. The butterfly is cut from Sentimentals and the Happy Birthday from Sweet Treats
